Every year the kids' school has a Halloween carnival the night before Halloween. My kids insist on attending, which is a lot of fun for them, but each booth gives away a cup full of candy everytime they play the game. So between the 3 of them you can imagine how much candy they come home with. Then on Halloween night the stake has a trunk-or-treat at the church, which is very well attended, everyone and their dog comes out to that, so that too means way too much candy. I wonder, can you freeze candy? Will it last until next year? I spend so much money buying candy for the trunk-or-treat, only to come home with more than I have given out. I need to find a way to save it for next year!!
The kids did have fun dressing up for those 2 nights, and of course Scott is hardly ever here each year to help me with this fun task, because it is during hunting season, and heaven forbid they should miss a day of hunting to spend with the kids on Halloween! Oh well maybe when I'm really old I can enjoy this holiday a little bit more.

OK to answer your question. YES!! You can freeze and save candy. I have some SUPER frugal friends that do that very thing. They tank up on candy and save it for next year to hand out--so they do not have to buy any! ha ha ha Too bad your kids look too cute to not do Halloween-however, I think single parenthood is for the birds and that would include Halloween if I had no hubby!
I love the costumes! They look so cute! Cashley is such a little princess isn't she! I wished we lived closer so our kids could play, they had so much fun at the heap reunion!
the second to the last picture of your little girl reminds me exactly of you Natalie!! Oh my heck!!! Takes me back...we are getting old hugh! I was so glad to hear that Landry met Jentry. She is so cute from all of your pics. and Becky says she is such a neat girl. I really wish my boys could have gotten closer to all of the Heap side of the family. I guess it's never too late. We have just got to all get together. Let's plan it. Maybe January when all of the Holidays are over, we can all meet up in Mesa. Sorry to hear of all your trials lately. I guess like they say, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger!!
Hang in there. Love ya!
Your kids look SOO cute! And you my dear SAVED MY BACON by helping me find my girls at the trunk-or-treat. Now knowing your husband wasn't even there to help you I feel so bad. Thanks again so much for your help. I was ready to lose it--but you helped save the day! =)
